June 19, 2002 PRESS RELEASE CD FROM LDS ARTIST RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR DESIGN (OLYMPIA, WA)

Recording artist James F. Wright was very pleased recently when informed that his latest CD, The Captain had received an "Award of Distinction" for 2002 from the Communicator Awards committee. The honor was achieved in the category of Audio CD Design.

The Communicator Award is a well-known international competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. It includes work for audio, video and print media. Some 3,660 entries were received from the United States and a number of foreign countries. Industry professionals judged the competition looking for companies and individuals whose talent serves as a benchmark for the industry.

Highstreet Advertising, a full-service ad agency and design firm located in Puyallup, Washington, near Seattle did the actual design work for the CD. Songs like "The Captain" written by Wright's sister, "Ship of Dreams" written by Senator Orrin Hatch and "The Call" a song Wright based on a story told by Jacob de Jager, allowed for a creative nautical theme on the cover. The same theme was carried over to the inside sleeve and CD as well.

The Captain, a collection of originals and Wright renditions was arranged by Greg Hansen and features Michael Dowdle on guitar. It's available at Walmart.com. For more information on James F. Wright and his music visit www.jamesfwright.com.
